AHA Instructor Monitoring Procedures

Whether you have completed Part 2 of the American Heart Association Instructor Essentials Course or are an existing instructor with GoRescue needing to renew your certification, you have to have been monitored teaching. The 3 ways this can be done are listed below. -Make arrangements to attend a course at one of our classrooms in Birmingham or Madison. If you want to attend an open enrollment class of ours and co teach, check out our schedule at www.GoRescue.com and select 3 dates that you would be able to attend, and then email those to us. We will look to make sure we dont already have someone being monitored on those and if not add you to one of those. -Schedule a time for us to do a remote monitoring. If you prefer the remote option, again send me an email with three dates with times that work for you. Keep in mind that remote monitoring is done Mon-Fri no earlier than 9am and must be completed by 4pm. Remote monitoring will be done via Microsoft Teams and must be done in real time. -Be monitored by a Training Faculty member associated with another Training Center. If you choose to be monitored by a TF member from another TC we would need a copy of the Training Faculty members AHA Instructor card, AHA Training Faculty certificate, and the roster for that course with your name listed. You will also want to have the TF contact us so that we can provide them with the correct Instructor Monitoring Tool. For further details or to schedule remote monitoring please contact Duane Whatley at Duane@GoRescue.com.
